      Second edition of Arrowsmith's 4 sheet map of Scotland, updated from the original of 1807. At a scale of 4 miles to an inch, Arrowsmith's map is one of the largest separately issued maps of Scotland produced at the beginning of the 19th Cdntury. Arrowsmith was commissioned to compile the maps of Scotland. He did this with extreme thoroughness using all the county maps available, as well as more recently compiled nautical charts for the coastline.  A highly desirable map of Scotland, in overall excellent original condition, with original slipcase.
