Pages 57-64 are missing but are replaced by extraordinary well executed contemporary manuscript pages, plates 8-9, 48-49 & 68-69 are also replaced by very good contemporary manuscript drawings. A few pages browned or waterstained, last two pages with repaired tears, wormholes in top left/right corners of pages 133-196. Very rare. One of the last works of the great botanist from Palermo, before he joined at the end of his life under the name Silvio a monastry. He travelled all over Europe making observations of great scientific interest. In Germany they named him the "Plinius of our century", and is considered one of the more important early European botanists. He died in 1704.
