Marbled endpapers. Full brown calf or the era, raised bands, gilt in compartments, old library label at foot of spine. Binding very slightly rubbed, a very good tight, clean copy. An interesting early 18th century French philosophical work and a lovely example of early 18th century French publishing and binding. The main text appears to start on page 3 but the sequence of gatherings and arrangement of the text suggest that there is nothing missing.
