Johan Nieuhoff was a Dutch traveler with the Dutch East Indies and Dutch West Indies Companies, best known for his extensive trips through in Brazil, India and China. This piece is from the English posthumous edition of "Voyages and Travels into Brasil and the East Indies...". The National Library of Australia attributes this edition to A&J Churchill, publishers in London.
