DANIEL, Samuel.
THE COLLECTION OF THE HISTORY OF ENGLAND.
1636 DANIEL, Samuel. THE COLLECTION OF THE HISTORY OF ENGLAND. Two parts in one volume. London: M.D. for Ephraim Dawson, 1634-1636. Folio. Contemporary quarter-cal (viii), 263; (vi), 260 pages. First edition published in 1618, this revised edition includes John Trussell' Continvation of the Collection of the History of England first published in 1636--a 260 page addition. Our copy includes the dedication pages to Queen A of Denmark, the consort of King James I. The DNB states that Trussell's work "is much superior to many works subsequently written on the period." A copy recorded in the library of William Byrd of Westover. Sympathetically rebacke original calf boards repaired. Title page lined, otherwise very good.
