      Amsterdam Johan Blaeu 1636. Contains the 30 beautiful copper engravings with "love scene" emblems by Christoffel le Blon (or P.Serwouters) from Hoofts Minnezinne-beelden (1616). Each of the very fine emblems has a motto in Dutch, Latin and French. Also includes: Granida, Geeraert van Velsenen, Baeto, Paris oordeel, Minnezinne-beelden, Sonnetten, Zangen, Verscheyde dichten, Bruyloftdichten, Psalmen etc.Contents: (6), 464 pag Size: 25 x 18,5 cm. The introduction includes a dedication to Constantijn Huygens. Note: the collation is sometimes shown to have 8 leaves in the introduction, however the first two pages are blanks (see Landwehr). There is a jump in page numbering from page 388 to 393, this is always the case with this book (see Landwehr) , so the book is complete! 7 copies in the NCC. The book is nowadays quite rare. The binding is contemporary vellum.. Some waterstains but still quite a good copy. Overall an important and rare book with fine love emblems and in fairly good condition, complete and in the original binding.EU buyers to add 6% VAT / BTW to the price.
