Contemporary vellum, blind frames and small arabesques to boards,"M M" and "1608" black-stamped to front, faint early hand-lettered titles to spine, head of front board and fore-edge of text block. Moderate soiling, some edgewear, boards slightly bowed, vellum just beginning to crack through front pastedown, minor worming to joints. Handsome title page printed in red and black within ornate woodcut border. Toning to text, light browning in a few places, faint marginal dampstain to lower corner of fore-edge of first quarter of text block. Small later library stamp and owner signature to front free endpaper, occasional early annotations and underlining. A nice copy of a scarce title. * Later edition. Initially based on local custom and gradually modified by the introduction of Roman, procedure in the Holy Roman courts was especially intricate. This created a ready market for procedural manuals. Process unnd Practica is one of the best and long-lived examples. Originally published in 1541, it went through several editions, the final in 1625.
