Title page laid down and some water-staining. Leaf "N" restored along fore-edge. 278pp. Large pictorial initials at the beginning of each chapter. Geometric illustrations on almost every page. Bound in at rear is an original manuscript page of geometrical designs probably from the mid-18th century. Euclid?s Elements was used as a text for 2,000 years, and even today a modified version of its first few books forms the basis of high school instruction in plane geometry.
