(12), 334, (5) lvs. Very rare sixteenth century German edition of Reynard the Fox, published by Nicolas Basse at Frankfurt. The book is nicely printed in several different types, mainly in Gothic, with legenda in the margins, and lively illustrated with the popular woodcuts after Virgil Solis. The text, in Lower German, follows the Rostock edition of 1539, with the protestant glosses.
