MARTIALIS (Marcus Valerius)

Epigrammata

Damianus De Moyllis, Parma 1481 - Quarto, later vellum, upper and lower balnk margins of first four leaves restored, next few leaves with slight stain and very minor damage to upper blank edge, insignificant minor spots or stains here and there, blank upper edge of last two leaves have minor restoration, few tiny wormholes in last several pages touch the occasional letter, few other minor restorations or mends to blank tip or edge here and there, exceptionally large copy with many uncut lower edges. This curious edition occurs in two issues; the conjectured first issue does not have the added two leaves of "Vita" at end and corresponds with this present copy; the conjectured second issue; or later issue has these leaves added. It furthermore is one of only three works which the British Museum records as being from this rare press at Parma. Hain-Copinger 10807; Goff M 303 (recording only the Newberry and Huntington copies west of the Atlantic seaboard). Because of the value of this item, extra postal insurance of registry fees may be required.
