An extensive and well-illustrated account of Dutch fruits and berries, flowers, shrubs, conifers and a few other trees, with 81 chromolithographed plates. It was issued by the pomological association, so more than half of the plates are devoted to fruits (apples, pears, plums, peaches and grapes) and berries. It was intended primarily for professional growers and provides practical information, as well as accurate colour illustrations. Each description is initialed, mostly by Ottolander and De Vos.The first leaf of the index is bound at the end. With the inside front hinge cracked, a few minor marginal tears and very minor foxing, but the paltes are fresh and in very good condition.
