The armorial dedication is by J.C. Phillips. At the end the book includes the texts of numerous charters, proclamations and other primary sources.Nijhoff & V. Hattum note that there are copies on large and heavy paper. The present copy is apparently one of these, with very large margins (the paper is watermarked IV = simple fleur-de-lis). With engraved bookplate of Edw. Huydecoper van Nigtevecht, the paper still fresh and crisp, a burn mark on the head edge, not approaching the text, and only very minor blemishes on a few leaves. Binding slightly rubbed. A fine large-paper copy of Van Kinschot's account of Oudewater.
