Woodcut portrait, ca. ?1560, of Selnecker at age 30, seated and playing the organ while a second figure works the bellows and King David plays the harp.
115 x 160 mm. (excerpted from a contemporary publication; slightly foxed; laid down). Signed M.S. and with a manuscript annotation on the mat attributing the engraving to M[elchoir] Schwarzenburg, engraver of the illustrations to the Wittenberg Bible of 1534. An attractive contemporary print of this noted German organist and theologian.
