The 13th edition of this very popular anti-Jewish tract which first appeared in 1474. "Alphonsus Boni Hominis claims only to have translated the Epistola, but it seems he himself was the author drawing largely from another tract in Arabic" (Encyclopaedia Judaica). Although the imprint of Cologne, 1499, appears at the end, this must be wrong because another copy was bound at Gröningen in 1497.Provenance. Inscription on title-page of W.
