The printer Johan Snell from Lübeck introduced printing into Denmark in 1482 and was summoned to Stockholm by Archbishop Jacob Ulfsson to print a Missal for the Archbishopric of Uppsala, which he completed in 1484. On the eve of St. Thomas, December 20th, 1483, he dated the colophon of these 122 dialogues. It is a collection of moralizing fables and administration of the sacrament, ment for preachment; it is usually attributed to Nicolaus Pergamenus from Bergamo in the 14 century but the Italian philologist Pio Rajna claims that it is the author and physician Magninus or Mayno de Mayneri from Milano who is the real author.Collijn I, 16.
