Sammlung von 20 ganzseitigen Holzschnitten, drei Vignetten und einem Titelholzschnitt des spanischen revolutionären Künstlers Helios Gomez (1906-1956), dessen erste Graphikmappe 1930 in einem anarchistischen Verlag in Berlin erschienen war. Aus dem Expressionismus und Konstruktivismus kommend, verwendet Gomez hier - an Masereel erinnernde- realistische Stilmittel, um den bewaffneten Volksaufstand im Oktober 1934 in Asturien graphisch darzustellen und zu unterstützen. Er schuf die beeindruckenden Holzschnitte zwischen Oktober und Dezember 1934 in spanischer Haft. Es handelt sich bei dem vorliegenden Exemplar um eines von 1000 der dritten Auflage, nachdem vorher 20 Exemplare auf Japan sowie 420 numerierte und 2000 einfache Exemplare erschienen waren.Mit einem Vorwort von Jean Cassou und zwei Seiten Einleitung (auf Französisch). - New York: Hal Horne, Incorporated, 1935. Summer Quarterly (Volume 1, Number 1). Large, 4to. Full color pictorial paper. Minor wear along spine and some minor folding throughout of a bright copy of a very uncommon item. Forty-four pages (counting covers, numbered within to page forty-two) with illustrations on almost every page, some in color and some two-color. The magazine offers stories, puzzles, comic strips, and other activities. This was the first Mickey Mouse magazine that was sold at newsstands and by subscription. The few earlier editions were given out at movie theatres and later, dairy companies. This series continued until about 1940 when it was supplanted by the Walt Disney Comics and Stories (to which I subscribed). To make this delectable item more enticing it is signed Sincerely, Hal Horne, Editor. Horne was the editor/publisher for only a year or so until financial difficulties caused him to sell out to Kamen who continued until 1940. This is featured in Mickey Mouse Memorabilia, page 134Ð135. Clearly a wonderful item of considerable importance and less than commonÑto say the least. See page 110. Signed by Author.

This is an early Hall Brothers Inc greeting card. Hall Brothers was founded in 1910 and changed its name to Hallmark in 1954. The birthday card by Hall Brothers Inc (now Hallmark) features an early Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse and opens in 5 sections as follows: Front: measuring 5.00 x 6.00 inches (approximate); Section 2: 6.00 x 9.50 inches (approximate); Section 3: 9.50 x 12.00 inches (approximate); Section 4: 12.00 x 19.00 inches (approximate); and Section 5: 19.00 x 23.00 inches (approximate). This birthday card is on brown paper and is in Mint condition with a small name written in pencil to the bottom right corner of Section 5. The envelope has been opened very carefully with small tears to the flap, and bears two 3 cents George Washington stamps with the postmark to the front reading: "El Paso TEX JAN 25 12.30PM" with the postmark to the reverse of the envelope clearly reading "35" for 1935. This is an exceptionally rare Mickey Mouse birthday card, which we believe to be one of the earliest and one of the largest in existence from this period. A dramatic novel set in Mexico City, featuring a complicated relationship between young fraternal twins and an enigmatic matador named Granados. The dust jacket has a bright 3/4 wrap-around painting of the last moments of a bullfight, where the matador is just about to reveal his hidden sword from behind his flashing red cape as the bloody bull charges toward his unsuspecting death.

Die Boote wurden mit einem die Bauwerft bezeichnenden Kennbuchstaben und einer durchlaufenden Nummer bezeichnet. Dabei stand V für die Vulcan-Werft in Stettin und später auch in Hamburg, S für die Schichau-Werft in Elbing und Danzig, B für Blohm & Voß in Hamburg, G für die Germaniawerft in Kiel, H für die Howaldtswerke in Kiel und Ww für Kaiserliche Werft Wlhelmshaven. Nach dem 1911 von Stapel gelaufenen Boot G 197 begann die Nummerierung mit V 1 wieder von vorn. 1917 wurden der Kennbuchstabe aller Boote bis G 197 unabhängig von der Bauwerft auf "T" geändert. guter Zustand mit Handschriftlichem Eintrag zur G 7 Besatung gehörte ich von 1928 - 1931 und auf die G 11 von 1933 bis Okt. 1936 als Maat,

Hotel Drouot, 1935 and 1947. Generally Good+, one volume becoming disound Bernard Franck was born in Paris in 1848. He was a veteran of the 1870 Franco-Prussian War, during which he was awarded the Medaille Militaire. He was an industrialist, specializing in the manufacturing of military equipment. His success in business enabled him to become an inveterate collector. He amassed his vast collection over 45 years from 1875 to 1920. The collection consisted of 18th Century and early 19th Century objects ? miniature portraits (many emphasizing military subjects), medals and decorations, armory, uniforms, paintings, engravings, a variety of bibelots. Besides the miniature portraits, especially noteworthy was Franck's collection of Carnets de Bal (dance cards). He sold this collection to J.P. Morgan around 1910. Before doing so, he had the collection reproduced in an album entitled ?Collection de 124 carnets de bal du XVIIIe siecle/formee par M. Bernard Franck a Paris de l'annee 1875 au 23 avril 1902?. Only 20 albums were produced, of which one is in the Watson Library of the Metropolitan Museum and one in the Morgan Library, autographed by Franck to Morgan. Franck died in 1924. These auction catalogues document the dispersal of much of Franck's collection, including the 1947 sale of some 60 miniatures (more miniatures were sold at a 2006 auction held at Fairfield Auction Galleries), in addition to sabres, decorative objects and additional militaria. There is some Napoleana contained in these sales that is noteworthy. An astounding reference. The 1947 catalogue has prices realized witten in. Text is in French.
